The exhibition. . .

When it came to hanging this exhibition we were faced with the creative challenge of putting artwork into an environment which was interesting in its own right. The already photogenic scenes of the tumbledown barn and the luminous vigor of the greenhouse plants could have presented direct competition with the often subtle artworks, but we wanted to work harmoniously with the site, allowing artwork to be discovered around the garden.

The framed illustrations by Lucy Burns suspended in the greenhouse as if on an imaginary dado rail erring just o the right side of mad. The challenge of this unusual  exhibition space afforded us the opportunity to try some unusual and unorthodox hanging methods.
